The 4th of July & Grandma Shirley, Part 2

So, on the actual day of July 4th, Brent had to work all day until Midnight. So the kids and I went to my Uncle Cary & Aunt Hoolie's house. It was a lovely gathering which included both my sisters, my mom & Tom, Grandma Shirley, My Aunt & Uncle (obviously, since we were at their house), their son Casey, their daughter Chelsea & her husband (Terry) and son (Jay). The kids had a blast on the slip and slide that they set up. Do you remember doing this as a kid? I remember being all bruised up on my rib cage and thighs from flinging myself onto the hard ground. Now they come a little blow up body tube thing (which Parker promptly bit a hole in, but that's for another post that would be entitled "Parker is Mouthy"). Genius! Why didn't I think of that?

The guy sitting on the ground is my cousin Casey. The big guy in the background is my cousin's husband Terry. Or as he is affectionately known to Parker, "That Big Buddy". Terry is very fun as far as big buddies go. AKA, he likes to rough house. The boys always have a blast with him. Here he is shoving them down the slip and slide at full speed. What could be more fun than that?
You can be shoved down on your face.

You can be shoved down frontways. (The little guy in this picture is Chelsea & Terry's son, Jay. He is adorable.)

Uncle Cary, Aunt Hoolie (her real name is LaVonne) and my cousin Casey standing behind his mom.

Laura in the forefront, Grandma Shirley in the midde, and my step-dad Tom.

Happy Birthday to my mom. My aunt surprised her with a cake since everyone was together. (Her birthday is the 14th).

Fun for everyone!! Looks like a nice 4th. I am looking forward to the post about Parker being mouthy. Can you imagine the damage if you put Parker and Ethan in a room together and shut the door? It's unfathomable! :)love, kim

you can also be shoved down in a manner that makes you conk heads with your cousin or sibling!
